    [p.s. i love you]

i feel rather pathetic. i just spent two hours being a complete crying wreck while watching P.S. I Love You.

heh... i've heard that this movie is about love and my friends told me that they've cried... but i expected to cry in the end of the movie when it's a happy end! i did not expect the harsh reality of it and instead of just 5 minutes, crying for the whole freakin' movie! oh well, they say tears are good for the eyes. we'll see in the morning (well, later in the morning since it's already 2AM)...

today a lot of my friends have celebrated one of the most glorious Christian holidays - the Easter, the Resurrection Sonday. and as i thought about writing a post on xanga about P.S. I Love You, i've thought of a parallel (last couple of days were my parallel days - i mean, a lot of parallels come to my mind, not that....oh nevermind).

this past week (and for us, Orthodox folks, it's this coming week) many people have pondered on what Jesus was going through in His last days before His death.

    • He has left His disciples a contingency plan (even though they were quite ignorant of it until some time later).
    • considering that He was One of the authors of the Bible (yes, people wrote it, but He was guiding them), that's the letter that He has written. it doesn't need to be delivered to our mailbox (or e-mail), we can get it easily, but it's a love letter anyway. i think with all the editions of the Bible that we've got nowadays, we need one that has a watermark on all pages that says "P.S. I LOVE YOU. GOD."
    • He promised that His Dad will send a Comforter (Holy Spirit, not a blanket - even though He does provide blankets too)...
    • and many other little things to prepare His followers.

everything was covered and the most important thing... and the difference with the movie... Jerry died. Jesus died. but Jesus rose from the dead and He's coming back!

    oh, what a promise!

and today, on Easter Sonday (don't care that my calendar says monday already), i am happy. still with my eyes red from all that crying, but i also keep thinking that Jesus rose. He did not STAY DEAD! He ROSE! and He comin' back to get us.

and words don't explain the emotions and i'm not Hugo.

You explained beautifully, even with red tear stained eyes. It is a sad movie. Happy Easter!

@Stephanie_J_B - if you would like to get emotions out and cry your eyes out... then it's the movie to watch. it's one of those painfully beautiful ones. i want to watch it again, but i don't dare to, right now... need a lil rest.
